Book Club: The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood

July 25, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for the July gathering of the Democrats Abroad book club! We’ll discuss The Edible Woman, a novel by Margaret Atwood, author of The Handmaid’s Taleand Alias Grace.

The goal is to provide a shared reading experience and relaxed discussion space for Democrats Abroad members.

The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood

“Marian is determined to be ordinary. She lays her head gently on the shoulder of her serious fiancee and quietly awaits marriage. But she didn’t count on an inner rebellion that would rock her stable routine, and her digestion. Marriage a la mode, Marian discovers, is something she literally can’t stomach … The Edible Woman is a funny, engaging novel about emotional cannibalism, men and women, and desire to be consumed.” 354 pages.

Please share this event with your American friends and acquaintances in Berlin! As always, we welcome new faces, even if you’ve never attended a meeting or an event before.

RSVP

It’s not required, but RSVP here so we have a rough idea of how many people to expect.
