March Meeting – Empowering Women in Politics & Policy with Lisa Witter

We’re excited to welcome Lisa Witter for Democrats Abroad Berlin’s March meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 @ 7:30pm.

Lisa Witter is an expert in the intersections of communications, government, politics, tech, & behavior change. Her topic for our meeting is “It’s Time for Solutions: From the invisible to blunt force policies.” In her presentation, she’ll take a global look at what’s working to empower women and where the US leads the way.

About the speaker

Lisa Witter is an award-winning executive and serial entrepreneur. She is the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Apolitical, the first of its kind global peer-to-peer platform and network for government, helping policymakers find the policies, experts and partners they need to solve the hardest challenges facing our societies. In 2017, Apolitical was named one of the five most disruptive companies in the world to watch alongside Tesla. Lisa has co-founded several political training institutes and numerous platforms – such as SheSource.org – and has started and led several companies focused on social change – including Fenton and Assemblyfor. She is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and sits on the Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Behaviour. She is co-author of “The She Spot: Why Women are the Market for Changing the World and How to Reach Them” and is a regular commentator and moderator for mainstream media outlets and global conferences. She sits on Vodafone Institute’s F-Lane Female Empowerment Accelerator board in Berlin.
