With great sadness, we share the news that Dr. William Emerson Downey, one of the founding members of the Berlin chapter of Democrats Abroad, passed away on March 24, 2018. Bill founded the Berlin chapter in 1997 and mentored many subsequent chapter chairs. He was an active member for many years and will be dearly missed. Please see the information below regarding his funeral service and memorial contributions. The Berlin chapter of Democrats Abroad offers its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 9:30 am at Christus-Kirchhof (Mariendorfer Damm 225, 12107 Berlin-Mariendorf).
