The Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA) organized a "Door Knock" in Washington, DC from the 27th to the 29th of April after the international DPCA meeting  there.   The purpose of this "Door Knock" was to visit and speak with members of Congress and other important institutions in Washington and to "Lobby" them for the goals, visions and interests of Democrats Abroad.

One of the great results of this "Door Knock" came from Representative Carolyn Maloney from the 14th District of New York (Manhatten / Queens), who afterwards wrote a letter to overseas voters .  She wrote:

"I want to assure you that I have heard your voice and will continue to be a voice
for you here in Congress".
