News: ?Tax Info Session, Virtual Volunteering, May events ?

We’re getting the hang of online events, and looking forward to seeing you virtually at one of the book clubs, pub quizzes, volunteer trainings, and even an info session on taxes. Thanks to our volunteers in Berlin, Leipzig, and throughout Germany for organizing!

Democrats Abroad advocates for tax fairness for Americans abroad, but can’t provide individual advice. Taxes are a common concern for many members though, so we’re excited to host an online Info Session: U.S. Taxes While Living Abroad with Monique Luegger, EA, from Americans’ Income Tax Service on May 13, 2020.

You’ll learn more about what you need to do as an American citizen or permanent resident living abroad. To support our voter outreach, we ask that each attendee contribute by making 20 phone calls in our current phone campaign, or a donation of 10€.

CARES Act FAQ

Democrats Abroad’s Taxation Taskforce has been following the Coronavirus Aid, Relief & Economy Safety Act and received many questions from Americans abroad. The CARES Act FAQ document is being updated frequently as the IRS and other government institutions share more updates.
